During treatment, the laser device will be passed over the skin, delivering precise laser energy to individual hair follicles in the treatment area. The laser does produce a warming sensation, but also provides continuous cooling to minimize discomfort.
There is no downtime necessary after the laser hair removal treatment, although your skin may be sensitive or reddened. We recommend that patients limit sun exposure for a few weeks after their treatment in order to prevent damage to this sensitive skin. Over the days following treatment, the hairs in the treated areas will begin to shed.
